Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has officially announced that its 21st graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. This event will celebrate graduates from various degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded for the 2023/2024 academic year. The ceremony will be held at the MMUST Graduation Square in Kakamega, with all graduands and guests expected to be seated by 8:30 a.m.
Important Graduation Requirements
- Clearance of Fees and Graduation Status Confirmation
Graduands eligible to participate must have cleared all fees, including graduation fees, by Friday, November 8, 2024. They should confirm their graduation status and check the order of their names through their respective schools or the university’s online portal. This process can be done by filling out the “Application for Graduation Form” or through an online link available on the MMUST website. - Graduation Fees
MMUST has outlined specific fees for graduation based on the level of academic achievement. Payments are due by November 8, 2024, and can be made through the “Jijunge Application (E-Citizen)” available on Google Playstore. The total fees vary by category, as detailed below:
- Doctorate: KES 8,000
- Masters: KES 7,000
- Bachelors: KES 6,500
- Diploma: KES 5,000
- Certificate: KES 4,000
- Collection of Academic Regalia
Graduands can collect their academic regalia from their respective schools on the main campus between November 25 and November 29, 2024. The regalia must be returned by January 10, 2025. Late returns will incur a daily penalty of KES 500. - Graduation Rehearsal
A rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. in the Graduation Square. All graduands must attend in full academic regalia and be seated by 11:00 a.m. - Invitation Cards
Each graduand will receive two invitation cards, which can be collected from the Deans of Schools starting November 25, 2024.
